Delete your account and its data
Quintap has no account until you make one. The whole game — every level, every grade, every setting — works signed out, and nothing is uploaded from a game nobody signed into. An account exists only if you tapped Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, and this page is how you undo that.
Delete it from inside the game
Four taps, and it is done
- Open Quintap.
- Open Settings from the main menu.
- Under Your account, tap the row showing your name.
- Tap Delete my account data.
The key is destructive and says so; there is no undo. On iOS, Apple's own sheet appears once more first so that Sign in with Apple can be revoked at the same time — dismissing that sheet does not stop the deletion.
Signing out is not deleting. Sign out ends the session on that phone and leaves your saved campaign and your leaderboard row on the server. Only the delete key removes them.
Delete it by email
If you cannot reach the key — you uninstalled the game, you lost the phone, or the sign-in itself is failing — email datvu.meo@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Quintap account, and tell me:
- whether you signed in with Google or with Apple;
- the email address on that account, sent from that address if you can, so I can match the record;
- the display name that appears on the leaderboard, if you know it.
I delete the account by hand within 30 days and reply when it is done. I ask for those details only to find the right record, and I do not use them for anything else.
What is deleted
All of it, immediately, and not merely hidden:
| What | Where it lived |
|---|---|
| Your backed-up campaign — level reached, the grade on each level cleared, journey counters and totals | /saves/<your user id> in Cloud Firestore |
| Your leaderboard row — display name, levels perfected, campaign level and the tie-break time | /players/<your user id> in Cloud Firestore |
| The account record itself — the user id, which provider you used, and the email address and display name that provider passed along | Firebase Authentication |
| The session file holding your refresh token and display name | Your phone's app storage |
Your name comes off the public board with the row. No copy of any of it is kept elsewhere: I hold no database of my own.
What is kept, and for how long
- The campaign on your phone is untouched. It is a file in the app's own storage and it was never mine to delete — you keep playing exactly where you were, signed out. To remove that too, delete the app, which is how your phone removes it.
- Support emails, if you ever wrote to me, are kept for 12 months from the last message and then deleted — including a deletion request sent by email, which I keep as the record that you asked and I acted.
- Advertising data held by Google AdMob is not part of your account and is not tied to it. It is governed by Google's own terms; on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings ▸ Google ▸ Ads, and on iOS in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security.
Deleted documents may survive a short while in Google's routine infrastructure backups before they age out. Nothing is retained beyond that, and nothing deleted is ever restored to the board.
