Privacy Policy
Shoji (called Clean Launcher until October 2026) is a home screen app for Android made by Dat Vu, an independent developer. This page explains what the app does with information on your phone.
In short
- No account, no sign-in. The app never asks for your name, email or phone number.
- Everything stays on your phone. Your layout, icons, wallpapers, categories and settings are stored in the app's own storage.
- Nothing is sent to the developer. The app has no server, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles payment; the developer never sees your payment details.
What is stored on your phone
To work as your home screen, the app keeps on your phone: the apps and widgets you placed on each screen, folders, renamed apps, categories, the icon look and icon pack you chose, wallpapers you picked or cropped, gestures you set, the private home and the apps on it, and how often you open apps from the launcher (for the Recent and Most used categories). The private mode passcode is kept only as a salted one-way hash, never as the digits you typed. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. If Android backup is on, Google may keep a copy of the app's data as part of your phone's backup, under your Google account's settings.
Backup and restore writes one file (settings and wallpapers) to a place you choose, and reads it back only when you pick it.
Permissions and access

The app shows what the service does and asks for your consent before you turn it on. The service does not read anything on your screen; while the phone is locked it only notes which app's screen comes up (for example the camera or the flashlight), so the gestures work there too. The app does not request your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files beyond the picture or backup file you choose.
Purchases
Shoji Pro is offered as a one-time purchase or a yearly subscription through Google Play, with a 3-day trial counted from install. When you buy or restore, the app talks to Google Play on your phone to learn what you own and keeps that answer on the phone so Pro works offline. Google processes payments under its own privacy policy. The developer sees only aggregated sales reports in Play Console. Search and links
When you search the web from the menu, your words are handed to the search app on your phone, which handles them under its own policy. Links to Google Play (for icon packs or managing a subscription) open in the Play Store.
If you email the developer
If you write for support, your email address, the message and anything you attach are used only to reply and fix problems, and kept for up to 12 months.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If the app or the law changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.

Shoji (trước đây tên là Clean Launcher) là ứng dụng màn hình chính cho Android của Đạt Vũ, nhà phát triển độc lập. App không có tài khoản, không quảng cáo, không công cụ thống kê hay theo dõi, không có máy chủ riêng và không gửi gì cho nhà phát triển. Bố cục, icon, hình nền, danh mục, màn hình riêng tư và cài đặt chỉ lưu trên máy; mật khẩu chế độ riêng tư chỉ lưu dưới dạng băm một chiều có muối, không lưu chính dãy số; xoá app là xoá hết (bản sao lưu Android của Google có thể giữ một bản theo cài đặt sao lưu của bạn). Tệp sao lưu chỉ được ghi và đọc ở nơi bạn chọn.
Dịch vụ trợ năng là tuỳ chọn, chỉ dùng cho cử chỉ điều hướng ở mép màn hình và các cử chỉ trên màn hình chính bạn đặt để khoá màn hình, mở đa nhiệm, chụp màn hình hoặc mở menu nguồn. App giải thích và xin bạn đồng ý trước khi bật; dịch vụ không đọc nội dung trên màn hình; khi máy đang khoá, nó chỉ ghi nhận ứng dụng nào vừa hiện lên (ví dụ camera hay đèn pin) để cử chỉ dùng được ở đó, dùng ngay rồi bỏ, không lưu, thu thập hay chia sẻ. Quyền truy cập thông báo (tuỳ chọn) chỉ để đếm số thông báo của từng app cho chấm trên icon; quyền truy cập dữ liệu sử dụng (tuỳ chọn) chỉ để xếp danh mục Gần đây và Dùng nhiều; cả hai chỉ xử lý trên máy. Quyền Internet chỉ dùng để kết nối tới dịch vụ gỡ lỗi không dây của chính điện thoại trong bước cài đặt tuỳ chọn, không tới máy chủ bên ngoài.
